Company History
Encouraged by a network of IVD industry leaders, Jeffrey Fleishman founded Plasma Services Group, Inc. in 2004. Drawing from over 35 years of experience in the medical device industry, he used his knowledge of IVD operational areas to offer his customers innovative production, manufacturing and engineering solutions, as well as quality assurance and regulatory affairs consulting services.
In March 2007, Plasma Services Group expanded its capabilities by opening a production and product testing facility which evolved into the variety of products and services now offered. By providing assay specific data for our product, we developed cost effective methods for supplying biological materials for research, development and manufacturing. PSG further enhanced its products and services by cultivating a network of professional relationships within the industry. In particular, we developed a strategic business relationship with the American Red Cross to distribute their viral and syphilis marker deferred plasma units.
In April 2014, we consolidated our operations by moving into a 4250 Sq Ft facility with additional laboratory and storage capabilities. We also established a new and successful national donor recruitment program to enhance our ability to find and collect disease state plasma and clinical samples to meet the ever changing needs of the IVD industry.
By providing quality products and services, and utilizing leading edge technological concepts and methodologies, Plasma Services Group has grown into an industry leader. Our company’s quality policy is essential for securing and maintaining both our customer and supplier relationships. Additionally, we believe that with a thorough understanding of the specific abilities of our suppliers as well as the requirements of our customers, we can continue to exceed expectations. Here at Plasma Services Group, we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of service, support, and integrity. Over the last several years, our company Plasma Services Group has evolved into a thriving and vital organization supporting the world wide diagnostic industry.
Plasma Services Group specializes in sourcing disease state plasma for the in vitro diagnostic industry.
What We Do
We stock over 1500 units of serologically defined plasma with over 60 different specificities at all times. As donors join and leave our plasma collection program, the available disease specificities may vary. Our stock of certain disease states can be limited or in short supply; however, to give our customers the widest selection, we supplement our inventory with samples from other sources.
- We find disease state plasma via a two-fold algorithm: prospective donor screening and active donor recruitment. On average, we screen 75-100 donors per month for up to 25 different diseases. The majority of our materials consist of serologically defined and/or retrospectively collected bleeds.
- To collect human blood products, we utilize FDA registered blood centers in the United States. We also use blood donor centers located outside of the United States to collect some harder to find and/or tropical disease products. All of the donor centers we utilize collect with donor safe guards such as informed consent and viral marker certifications. Our blood products are stored and distributed under our FDA blood establishment registration number 300527238.
